"SERMON ON THE MOUNT"

When Jesus issued the Great Commission to his disciples in Matthew 28:18-20, he qualified a disciple as someone baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (v. 19), and who learned and lived what Jesus commanded (v. 20). As Christians, many of us like to say we “follow” Jesus. But to be a disciple, one has to know what Jesus taught and do it. One of the most famous segments of Jesus’ teaching occurs in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7).

In this series, The Sermon on the Mount, we’ll explore what Jesus taught his earliest followers so that we, too, can hear from the Master and be his disciples by learning from him and living out what he commands.
