SUNDAY MORNING
Sunday mornings are about helping students take another step in following Jesus.
During the school year, Middle School Youth Group and High School NextLevel meet from 9:00β10:15 a.m. Students can begin arriving around 8:45 a.m. and should check in at The Underground, located in the basement of Markle Christian Church.
Grab some breakfast, hang out, and we'll get started around 9!
Both environments are built around the same idea:
Following Jesus is 1 BIG YES followed by 1,000 little yeses every day.
We want students to learn to:
Spend Time with God. Spend Time with Others. Share Their Story. Use Their Gifts.
What that looks like on Sunday morning is a little different for middle school and high school students.
MIDDLE SCHOOL | YOUTH GROUP
Middle School Youth Group is a place for students to learn what it looks like to follow Jesus alongside friends and trusted adult leaders.
Students can expect fun, relevant Bible teaching, conversations in small groups, and opportunities to begin practicing the thousand little yeses of following Jesus.
Our goal isn't simply for students to know more about the Bible. We want them to begin discovering how following Jesus shapes their everyday lives.
All 6thβ8th grade students are welcome. We'd love to have you join us!
HIGH SCHOOL | NEXTLEVEL
High school students meet for something we call NextLevel.
The name says a lot about what we're trying to accomplish: helping high school students take their faith to the next level.
NextLevel isn't another Sunday School class. Instead of only learning about following Jesus, students are given opportunities to practice following Jesus through our four YESES:
Spend Time with God.
Practice prayer, Scripture, silence, spiritual disciplines, and other ways of being with Jesus.
Spend Time with Others.
Build meaningful Christian relationships, practice hospitality, and learn from other followers of Jesus.
Use Your Gifts.
Serve others, contribute to the life of the church, and discover how God can use you.
Share Your Story.
Learn to recognize what Jesus is doing in your life and become comfortable telling others about it.
Because of that, NextLevel may look different from week to week. Students might prayer walk through our community, eat breakfast around someone's table, serve residents at a local nursing home, learn a spiritual practice, serve somewhere in our church, or share their story with someone else.
We don't just want high school students to graduate knowing what Christians believe.
We want them to know how to follow Jesus for themselves.
