A new Sunday morning schedule for elementary kids/families starts August 4th!

We’ve got a problem—a really good problem—and we’re asking you to help be a part of the solution. Our church is growing and the number of elementary kids we’re seeing each weekend in KidsWorld continues to increase. These larger numbers create energy and excitement and we’re grateful for every young person who walks through our doors on Sunday morning. That being said, we’ve recognized the need to make some adjustments to our programming in order to best serve MCC kids and their families and to keep everyone safe. Our physical spaces are becoming increasingly crowded and our ability to manage large and growing numbers in these environments requires us to make a shift in our Sunday morning schedule.

Beginning on Sunday, August 4th we will launch the following system of elementary programming:

1st Hour (9:00am)

  • K-2nd will be in the Tree House for large group worship and teaching

  • 3rd-5th will go through our Bible story, application activities, and game rotations

2nd Hour (10:30am)

  • 3rd-5th will be in the Tree House for large group worship and teaching

  • K-2nd will go through our Bible story, application activities, and game rotations

If you bring an elementary child with you to MCC, our hope is that you will commit to being here for both hours on Sunday mornings. We don’t want your child to miss out on any of the incredible programming we have designed just for them. If your Sunday morning experience has typically been for one hour only, we have some great options for you during that second hour:

  1. Beginning Sunday, August 4th we’ll be hosting our first ever on-site First Steps Course. This course will take place during the 9:00am hour and will last four weeks. During this course we’ll be talking about the fundamental beliefs our church holds, our history and our vision for the future, and how you can take a next step in your faith and in your involvement at MCC. You can get more information and register for this course at MarkleChurch.org/firststeps.

  2. Join one of our ministry teams as a Sunday morning volunteer. One of the best ways to get connected at MCC is to find a place to use your gifts and abilities to serve others. Begin the process of finding the perfect place to serve at MarkleChurch.org/serve.

  3. Get plugged into an Adult Bible Fellowship group (ABF). Our desire is that everyone who calls MCC their church home will find a group of people to learn and grow with beyond the corporate worship service. Joining an ABF is a great way to connect with others who desire to walk more faithfully with Jesus. Each one of our ABFs is open to new members and you’re more than welcome to attend multiple ABFs over time in order to find the best fit for you. You can get more info or connect with someone to help you with the process at MarkleChurch.org/abf.
